WELL certification, which sets objective criteria for what an ideal and above all healthy working environment should look like.
Skanska decided to follow the path of illustrated articles in promoting this certification. It was necessary to present the topic in an entertaining way so that people would be motivated to read further parts.
We have created a light-hearted style, designed characters and illustrated humorous situations to demonstrate the various problems of the working environment. To convey information and entertain. Distinctive humor and descriptive hyperbole.
The series of articles is based on the characters of people working in the office. Everyone has different needs in the workplace and therefore deals with different situations. Some people need movement, others need quiet to relax, and some are fixated on the comfort and ergonomics of their workspace. Projecting humour into the illustrations is key, so we weren’t afraid to use cartoons and a dynamic style. You can see how to present these qualities visually here.
Caricature, exaggeration, extreme. Features that we used to reinforce the humour and theme of the character. A sketch according to the creative brief, which the client approved and finalised in colour.
Characters alone are not enough. In order to make the article more descriptive and really “illustrate” the problem, we have incorporated our characters into specific situations.
The illustrations were used in a series of articles on #morethanoffice under the hashtag #osmnespokojenych (#eightunhappy).
Pass on information and entertain. Distinctive humour and exaggeration.
