COMIC TV SPOT

TV SPOT

CLIENT: 4KIDS

We keep repeating it. We love clients who have the courage to create something really different.
And when we talk about TV spots that promote toy sales, we dare say, that with
4KIDS, that difference is

twice as true.  We were given the task of creating a spot with a distinctly comic book feel,

where the target audience is not children, but parents.

KEYWORDS

hyperbole — sarcasm — noir — comics — difference

ANIMATIC

Before we start drawing and animating, we need to know what the footage and timing will be like.

How the sequences are supposed to feel and how the voiceover will fit in. That’s what an animatic is for,

which also serves as an animated sketch for the client to approve.

STATIC FORM

The whole spot is practically an animation of one classic comic book page. Here it is…

SECOND SIMPLER SPOT

The Christmas spot was created in a simpler form of animation. Budget solutions can sometimes make sense
when leveraging the strong potential of an idea or story, investing more in visual detail.
