For the Gymnathlon brand, we created bespoke visual educational materials for their unique sports programme.
Its aim is to build children’s love of movement through playful and methodical training and to teach them
age-appropriate key skills. Therefore, it was necessary to create materials that show what activities and in what
order to do them, to encourage motivation to play sports and last but not least to record successes using gamification methods.
The biggest challenge was to feel the already working concept of the characters. Not only the style, but also the way of thinking in designing, the attention to detail,
uniqueness and imprinting a humorous playfulness on every single character. We chose one of our designers who has thousands of hours of similar games.
One of the main visual elements of the teaching materials are the playing fields where children record their achievements
in individual disciplines and see the progression through the sports program.
Gymnathlon consists of programs for different age groups. For example, this one was for the little ones from the age of 2,5.
It’s always good to create a character to accompany and inform such projects.
At Gymnathlon, it’s Max the monkey and a bunch of his animal sidekicks.
The workbook we have created not only serves as a guide and record of the children’s progress in the program, but also
keeps children motivated to do simple games such as a maze or colouring a picture.
Children record their progress in their playground records by sticking stickers.
The performances are then rewarded with medals.
